''Disney Evil Villains all have one thing in common, they are all exceedingly vain. I imagine their cold, stone castle walls filled with egocentric portraits of themselves. With my background in costume design I can't help but to embellish these classic characters with my own whimsical details. The tarnished gold gilded frames are symbolic of the tarnished and flawed personalities of all their evil partners in crime. The frame was also a fun way to include pieces of their dark and twisted pasts. The Disney Evil Villains need big frames to hold those big Egos!''
Based in Los Angels California, artist John Coulter acquired his art education at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. Elaborate costumes, scenic designs, and whimsical storytelling in John's painting and sculptures, illustrate his love for the theater. In addition to the visual arts, John also pursued performing arts, which led him to the "Happiest Place on Earth," performing at Disneyland, Walt Disney World, and Tokyo Disneyland. Providing special insight into the world of Disney, his roles included Prince Charming, Prince Eric, Prince Philip, Snow White Prince, Tarzan, and Burt from Mary Poppins.
In addition to his art and Disney career, John has enjoyed a twenty-year modeling career thet has taken him around the world and can still be seen in various print ads and television commercials.
