''I was fortunate enough to be able to work on the first ten years of Disneyland's history and being a huge Walt Disney fan, what better decade to have! It turned out to be one of the most challenging projects I have ever tackled in my 23 year career at Disney. Having such strong affinity for all the early Disneyland attractions, I knew I couldn't include everything so I reluctantly had to remove some ''gone, but not forgotten'' attractions. I also decided to stylize my painting to mimic the wonderful art seen in the Golden Books from the 1950' and 60's. Being a character artist, I wanted to include a retro looking Mickey and Minnie, dressed to reflect the era.''
