Have you seen the film, Saving Mr. Banks, yet? If you have, you’ll understand the awards-season enthusiasm behind this beautifully crafted tale of how Walt Disney convinced novelist P.L. Travers to let him make the now universally beloved filmMary Poppins. Emma Thompson’s portrayal of Mrs. Travers is the engine of the film, and the pragmatic whimsy of Walt Disney (as portrayed by Tom Hanks), the perfect foil for her insecurities.

What this film also does marvelously is to bring back the glamour of Disney and Disneyland, reminding us all that all that popular culture we now take for granted was the vision of one man, and his vision endures today.

What endured in my memory, weeks later, were all the fantastic classic Disney toys featured in the film. Doesn’t all that Disney glamor just whet your collectors’ appetite? Classic and classically inspired Disney stuffed plush toys are still available today. Did you know that there are a range of Gray and White plush Mickey, Donald, and Goofy dolls, which can take you right back into Walt’s pre-DisneylandSteamboat Willie days? We do! Or if you prefer a more gothic take, how about Mickey in Gray and White, updated as Jack Skellington from A Nightmare Before Christmas?

For those who prefer Walt’s vision in full Technicolor, the possibilities are endless! Colorful classic plush Mickeys, Minnies, and the whole gang are always available, but what about all the updates to our ever-beloved favorite characters? Would you like Mickey in his conductor’s tux for the Philharmonic, or his full regalia from “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” in Fantasia? How about Mickey as Luke Skywalker and Goofy as Darth Vader? Yes, they exist!

Whether you’ve been inspired to add to your collection of classic Disney plush dolls, or are just starting out, we’ve got everything you need to create many happy Disney memories for you, and generations to come.
