Shanghai Disney Resort
Love for Disney is a worldwide phenomenon, so it’s no wonder
Shanghai Disney Resort
opened its doors in 2016. It’s the first Disney park resort in mainland China
and now it’s even easier for people all over the world to get a taste of Disney
magic, no matter where they live.
There’s tons of fun to be found at Shanghai Disney Resort.
The main attraction is Shanghai Disneyland Park, covering one-and-a-half square
miles and comprising seven themed areas, similar to other Disney parks. These
include Adventure Island, Tomorrowland, Fantasyland, Mickey Avenue, Gardens of
Imagination, Treasure Cove, and Toy Story Land. Mickey Avenue is the Shanghai
version of Main Street, USA, and is located at the entrance to the park.
Visitors can stay in one of the two themed hotels and can
also enjoy the local entertainment district as well as other recreational
facilities. The Shanghai Disneyland Hotel is located on the Wishing Star Lake
and offers a free water taxi service to enter the park. Yes, you can ride a
boat across the lake to get to Disney!
We at Your WDW Store are excited to have Shanghai Disney
Resort-exclusive merchandise in our collection, and we’re the only source
for these items without actually going to China. These include souvenir pins
from the grand opening in 2016, and if you want to add them to your collection
you need to act soon — they’re limited edition straight from the opening day
event, and once they’re gone, they’re gone. We also have baseball caps,
umbrellas, and more. If you’re looking for a special gift for a fellow Disney
lover (or for your own collection, and there’s nothing wrong with that!) then
check these out and snag one while you still can.
We are so happy that Disney continues to spread happiness
and friendship throughout the world, and of course that special magic you can
only feel in a Disney park. We hope our friends in China are enjoying Shanghai
Disney Resort as much as we love Disneyland and Walt Disney World here in the
United States!
