If you saw our previous post, then you may have decided to bake some yummy Christmas sugar cookies, and now you need an icing recipe to finish them off in style. Here is how to take your cookies from drab to fab!
Ingredients:
2 teaspoons milk
1 cup confectioners' sugar
2 teaspoons light corn syrup
¼ teaspoon almond extract
Stir confectioner’s sugar and milk together until it’s nice and smooth. Beat in the almond extract and the corn syrup until it has a glassy appearance. If it’s too thick, add a little bit more corn syrup.
You need color, though! Separate the mixture into several smaller bowls, one for each desired color, and add food coloring to each bowl. Mix thoroughly.
Now you have icing! You can dip your cookies into it, or paint them with a pastry brush. Once you add icing you can also add sprinkles or other little tasty embellishments. You can use your Disney cookie cutters to have a festive Disney Christmas treat.
