Loungefly: Chic Designer Items Based on Disney

Loungefly: Chic Designer Items Based on Disney

Of all the people who make it a point to keep up with fashion trends, many make a distinction between chic styles and pop culture. Chic is what is in, and it can be bold, experimental, and above all us, good-looking. It does not often ally itself with pop culture, viewing it as a lower form of culture. Fashion based on that would be derivative at best and trashy at worst.

Many other fashion enthusiasts, as well as more casual shoppers who just want something that looks good, are not as troubled about the distinction. Some designers and entertainment companies have taken note, including, naturally, Disney. Here is some information about Loungefly’s Disney designer fashion accessories.

Autograph Books for Meeting Your Favorite Disney Characters

Autograph Books for Meeting Your Favorite Disney Characters

Everything about visiting a Disney theme park is special. With that said — and especially for kids (and kids at heart!) — among the most special parts is seeing beloved characters come alive. Better still is getting to meet them yourself. You can get pictures, of course, but you can say hi, give high-fives, and even hug them if you want. It is one of the truest examples of the parks’ magic.

To that end, people love having a way to preserve the magic of that moment. Disney autograph books are a great and unique way to do it. Here is some information on this wonderful Disney parks tradition.

What is Flag Day in the United States?

What is Flag Day in the United States?

Walt was always outspoken about his love for his country and its defining ideals. The most famous example of this is how he threw himself and his studio into the war effort after the attack on Pearl Harbor. The studio produced over 30 films for World War II-related purposes, including training and morale.

That patriotism is especially noticeable in the Disney parks, which have areas like Liberty Square and Main Street, USA. Even Frontierland can arguably be grouped with them in that they represent different stages of American history. The American Adventure, a 25-minute Epcot show presenting notable American events and figures, is more overt in this. All these attractions and lands, representing idealized aspects like the idyllic turn-of-the-century small towns and the noble stature of our presidents, immerse visitors in the national mythology.

As you might expect, the Stars and Stripes fly every day in Disney’s parks. The Magic Kingdom and Disneyland even hold a brief service in which the park’s own Color Guard lower and fold the flag for the night. This event, known as the Flag Retreat Ceremony, always features current or veteran members of the military, who are honored with a role. It does not just happen on Flag Day, nor just on similar holidays, but every single afternoon.

H20+ Skincare

H20+ Skincare

The Disney Company usually brings their A-game to everything they do, from their movies to their merchandise. The idea is that people will pay money for plenty of items, but even more people will pay even more money if those items are noticeably high-quality. This simple philosophy guided the company’s earliest artistic achievements, and the corporate behemoth of today still follows it.

When we say they do this for just about everything, we mean just about everything. If you’ve ever showered at a Disney hotel, you already know what we’re talking about. Here is some information on the bath amenities by a long-time Disney partner, H20+.

It's Time to Ditch the Screens and Play Some Disney Games Together!

Winnie the Pooh and Friends Return This Summer with Christopher Robin

Winnie the Pooh and Friends Return This Summer with Christopher Robin

Since 1926, generations of children have enjoyed A.A. Milne's beloved stories of Winnie the Pooh, a small yellow teddy bear who lives with his friends in the Hundred Acre Wood: Piglet, Tigger, Eeyore, Kanga and Roo, Rabbit, and Owl, all but the last two of which are living stuffed toys. Their wisest friend, despite being a child, is Christopher Robin, a young boy who accompanies the characters on many of their adventures (and who was based on A.A. Milne's own son).
